Last year, I was lucky enough to receive the Funds for Artists grant from the Greater Columbus Arts Council. These grants are dedicated to helping artists in the Columbus area to make improvements to their careers, or get the funding necessary to create new work and try something different without having to absorb all the costs by themselves. You may already know that SquidCat, Ink began as a challenge to draw every day for an entire year in 2015, but did you know that I first started doing daily drawing challenges (albeit for a month at a time, rather than a year) over a decade ago?! ⁠More often than not, that has taken the form of participating in Inktober, a month long challenge to draw something every day in October according to a set prompt list. ⁠Here is the round up of what I made in 2023!
