SquidCat Thinks
Shop Feature: New Leaf
I first knew of Amy Greely through Helen Winnemore's, a gift shop I worked at where they carried her work. She creates gorgeous sculptural jewelry pieces that are modern metal-wrought interpretations of the natural world. Then, I got to meet her when she and Bee Skinner of Warm Glass Wonder came to do a pop up show at the shop. They were both kind and warm, and incredibly encouraging of me and my work, as I had only just launched SquidCat, Ink as a real business. It was so wonderful to have two artists whose work I admired and whose...

Identity has always been a complex topic for me. Since moving to America, I have always had a sense of unbelonging. With the grant money I signed up for an arts focused business class, Leverage Your Art by Stacie Bloomfield, to learn...
SquidCat in the world!
I recently had the opportunity at my part time job to jury an art exhibition for the Carnegie Gallery at Main Library! There was such an amazing selection of work, and I was honored to be part of the process of curating the show. You can see me being interviewed about the jurying process here! I also taught a class on building a Wholesale Art Business - you can check out the virtual recording here!
